WHAT IS A TELECONSULTATION?
A teleconsultation is an electronic communication that happens between a clinician and clinician for the purpose of diagnostic or therapeutic education/advice.
For veterinarians, teleconsultation enables easy and convenient access to veterinary specialty recommendations for challenging cases, diagnostic interpretation, treatment plans and procedural assistance. It also provides guidance to veterinarians on determining if the case should be referred into Dr. Canapp at VOSM for an in-person evaluation before they book their travel to VOSM, especially for out-of-state and international clients.

See what veterinarians are saying...
“Living in a smaller part of North America has benefits but also has limitations with regards to access to specialists. This is particularly true when you are talking about something as specialized as canine sports medicine. Technology has allowed for the ability for experts in their field to share their knowledge. Canapp Sports Medicine makes it easy to provide satellite feedback on diagnostics done locally as well as recommendations for future treatments. Their support in my case has been ongoing. I would not hesitate to recommend a tele-consult from Dr. Canapp at the Veterinary Orthopedic & Sports Medicine Group to anyone who needs further clarification on their dogs’ issue particularly if you have a canine athlete. “
